Jo: my prayers and my best wishes are with you...

Do you know what I was, how I lived? You know
what despair is; then
winter should have meaning for you.

I did not expect to survive,
earth suppressing me. I didn't expect
to waken again, to feel
in damp earth my body
able to respond again, remembering
after so long how to open again
in the cold light
of earliest spring --

afraid, yes, but among you again
crying yes risk joy

in the raw wind of the new world.

  1. This is so beautiful... Once again, I didn't see it before and I feel so bad about it. It's not negligence or obliviousness, it's the weight I carry on my shoulders these days that make me slow, and many days stops me. I will get where I am meant to be sooner or later and when I am in that place, I hope to be able to hug you personally. I know you are not a random happening... you are here for a reason and that I can feel.

    I wish you the best this year but especially peace and silence.

    Much Love.

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
